2006年: どうして僕が「母なる大地が泣いている」を書いたか

学校で地球温暖化のことを習ったんだ。そしてその週に「Happy Feet ハッピー フィート」という映画を見た。その夜、父さんが「Keep America Beautiful」という70年代のキャンペーンのコマーシャルを見せてくれた。人々が地球を汚しているのに悲しんで泣いているインディアンが出て来た。その時僕は、僕の役目を果たそうと思ったんだ。父さんと一緒に「母なる大地が泣いている」を書いた。それから父さんがタイトなビートを作ってくれて、クールな仲間が集まって録音した。友達がコーラスを付けてくれた。出来た時、みんな、これはとっても大事な曲だ、って感じた。父さんはホームメイドビデオも作ってくれた。

僕の目標は、子供たちに「地球を救うことはすごく大事なこと」ということをわかってもらうこと。美しい地球を守るために、みんなが自分の役目を果たすことをわかってもらうことさ。
